Smile the "Sonoma County" of Amador County

Locals may cringe at my question but I am wondering what towns in Amador County have a bohemian vibe? I would love a town with cowboys and hippies and artists and gardeners and yoga people and farmers and just regular joes all living side-by-side.

What towns offer some arts and culture? I realize that Amador is not very populated so there probably isn't a big demand for some of this stuff...but I am just hoping it is out there.

My family and I are considering moving to Sonoma county but it is so dang expensive. I am wondering if Amador could be a viable option as my husband works for the state of CA and could commute. I realize it might be a long commute to Sactown but the trade off would be fresh air and open spaces.

I have been looking at Plymouth and Sutter Creek.

Try Volcano. It's pretty eclectic and probably the place I would move in the Sierras if I didn't already love it where I am.

Could anyone give me a run down on the "personalities" of some of the Amador county towns:

Plymouth, Sutter Creek, Jackson, and Volcano...or any other town with in a commutable time to Sacramento.

I really appreciate it!
