Any ideas out there on where to buy an inexpensive, but nice couch? Ikea tends not to do them too well....

Default I have just noticed that

I like everything else at Ikea, just not so much their sofas. Plus the couches don't look that durable/comfortable. Some of Ikeas sofas are in the $1K range and for that I probably could find a more comfortable durable sofa.

Normally I am not that picky, but I love to fall asleep on the couch watching tv so comfort is an issue....

Okay this is crazy but sometimes it works

Big Al's on 16th. It's total cheapo warehouse furniture - but I bought a daybed there ten years ago and now my SON even sleeps on it. It's cheap! But can you beleive it? It's comfy!

We bought our leather couches at Roomsource and I love them. The brand of couches that we have is Viewpoint and they are 100% leather all over (some couches give you leather cushions, but pleather backs). We have always bought from Roomsource and have been very happy with the quality and service. They have a huge selection, too. The one in Citrus Heights either moved or went out of business, but I think the one by Cal Expo is still around.

The PP is right, check out the outlet/warehouse first. It's off of Richards Blvd. downtown. We got a FANTASTIC deal there on a Viewpoint couch and loveseat set.

I have seen a few cute and comfortable couches at Cost Plus (actually, it might be called World Market now) that aren't outrageously expensive.

NaturWood outlet. Got a great couch with down topped cushions for $500 there and a 60 inch round pedestal dining table for $175. Highly recommend checking them out.
