East Sac proper - I don't think so. And closer to Mckinley park is always fancier.

There is a part of East Sac by Stockton Blvd - and it's not my fav...too many gang related happenings. SO just stay away from that area.

City Girl is right - East Sac itself is awesome (I live here and LOVE IT). Having lived in the Sacramento area for all 43 years of my life, this is by far the best and I have no intention of leaving. Walks to McKinley park are amazing, and biking to Midtown eateries and bars is well within reason.

Different people have vastly different ideas of what constitutes a safe neighborhood and what constitutes a dangerous neighborhood.

Enter the address that you are looking here and the radius that you consider relevant as well as the time frame you consider meaningful. Then look at what crimes are happening and decide for yourself how safe or dangerous a neighborhood is. You might want to choose the specific crimes box on the search to high light the crimes you find most meaningful.

Online feature - Crimemapper - sacbee.com

Then do the same search on the Meagan's law database. While there isn't a database of parolees, generally the neighborhoods where landlords are willing to rent to sex offenders are also the neighborhoods where the parolees have the best opportunity to find a rental too.

California Megan's Law - California Department of Justice - Office of the Attorney General

Search the archives for discussions of the homeless issue in East Sac as well.

East Sacto is a nice area. East Sac includes the 'Fabulous Forties', beautiful old homes that have stood the test of times. CSU Sacramento is near the area too.

No way dude. Terrorists there killin people. Guys hang out in bushes armed and rob or attack people. They have huge gun like wars in Albatstay Amlos and up Elvas ave. Lots of rape, murder, assault like people getting killed or stabbed beaten especially a night. They usually hang out in places where hoodlum/gang like hang out in gloomy places, gas stations, liquor stores, under freeways on sidewalks or even in parking lots at stores and in back alleys. Lots of suicide bombings at those places. Frequent massacres in Paradise beach area. Hear that people get beaten up attacked or robbed in east sac. Some even get killed. Lots of armed robbery of safeway like places, liquor stores, gas stations, restraunts, stores and even Regional Transit buses. Attacks and bombings on regional transit and an attempt to bomb a train. The area on the Sutter Hospital grounds is considered Internal fire due the attacks on local police (Panakrasha) and hospital staff and the violence between terrorist gangs lasting all 24 hours with bomb suicide active persistent. Hooded men throw rocks. Lots of arson. Arson exists everywhere in east sac. Very scary at night.

Mckinley Park much safer bt some drug stuff in the nearby neighborhood. Break ins are heavy and persistent in east sac. East Sac is very scary. If you think east sac is safe your so dead f**k'n wrong. East Sac is so not safe!!! They use the neighborhood fabulous 40's as an excuse. Many people try to get you in dangerous situations especially for money. You hear from liars. East Sac is definately not safe. Stay out of East Sac!!!

Sac state is safe. Just as long as you don't leave the college areas. Even then just be careful. Don't do anything stupid.
Just be safe!!!

Don't leave Sac state. Don't walk out to J street. That's where men in bushes might attack you or even kill you. Bombings, roadside attack, armed vehicle robbery ( like guys strike your car break in and attack you often armed)etc is always outside sac state across the tracks and elsewhere in east sac. Take College town blvd to sac state.
