I'm talking about the older condos along La Riviera Dr. in Sacramento. In particular, the ones right along the river and closer to Howe Ave. I know these units are older but how is the build quality? Are they pretty soundproof? Do you hear the neighbors much? Also, how about the neighborhood? Any significant crime problems?

Yes I did - and they were pretty run down the last time I was there. Plus isn't that old Lucky next to it boarded up?

I think you are talking about the condos closer to Watt Ave. There was an Albertsons there at one time. Now it is a Big Lots store. I am referring the opposite end of La Riviera closer to Howe Ave.

Albertson's acquired Lucky's and changed it to an Albertson's.

I lived in one of those three bedroom condos from June of 08 to November of 09 (bought a house). The build quality is fine and it can depend on what the owner has done to the place. Some of them are very original and some have had updates or remodels. Most of the units did not originally come with dishwashers. So unless someone put one in prepare to scrub. Ours didn't but it wasn't a big deal to me and my wife. They are fairly soundproof but if you have noisy neihbors you will hear them. Your odds of having college students as neihbors are drastically increased in the neihborhood due to its proximity to Sac State so take that for what it's worth. The biggest crime problems in the La Riv neihborhoods is car theft and car break ins. I find that most of that happened to cars parked directly on La Riv and not in the covered parking areas since they would most likely be seen in the back.

Overall, I really enjoyed living there. The rent was cheap, I had good neihbors and I loved the location. Let me know if you have anymore questions.
