Question grass allergies in Salem?

I have read that Eugene is horrible for pollen sufferers as it is downwind from the grass seed capital of the world. How is Salem in this regard?

It was a horrible allergy this year. My son had to go on allergy meds for the first time for about two weeks to make it through. I guess it depends on how bad your allergy is. My son's is fairly mild and he normally just has a couple of sneezy days.

Grass alergy is grass alergy. It doesn't change by region. The seed industry won't have an effect unless you live where it is growing.

Check this website out: Pollen.com - National Allergy Forecast & Information About Allergies. And from the same website,

Eugene, OR
Salem, OR
Albany, NY
Portland, OR
Toledo, OH

Oregon has 1500+ grass seed growers. They do not plant in the same field each year. Wind blown grass seed pollen in the Willamette Valley from Woodburn Oregon south is extremely bad for sufferers.

My eyes are itchy and swollen closed, my head hurts, my nose is running, my throat is raw from the drain, and my sinus are making me miserable. I thought rain was supposed to wash the pollen out of the air?

Maybe because it's not really all in the air. This may explain why.

Day four and I want to crawl under a rock.

But then I would have to deal with the moss.......

If not in the air then why?

The tree pollen is thick on the cars.
