Due to the low number of original posts specifically about SLC, I don't think that a SLC sub-forum in necessary. We need a sub-forum for LDS Church related questions more than one for SLC.

Any questions about the LDS faith, should be discussed in the religion forum. No need to have a sub forum in the Utah forum as well.

People use the Utah forum to learn about....Well life in Utah.
LDS folks are a big part of Utah life. People need to know basic things about LDS and Fundamentalist LDS in Utah. I'm glad someone told me that I can't go in the temples, or I would have tried to enter. That has everything to do with life in Utah. I'm glad someone mentioned that some LDS folks dislike being called Mormans. This is also something we need to know about living in Utah. The Provo "bubble" as well.
But I see your point about religious debates, those should go to the religion forum, but it is fun to watch ya'll duke it out!

I think the sub-forum should be in the Utah forum because it is natural for someone, new to the forum, to come to the Utah forum first, if they have Mormon related questions about Utah's culture. Utah is a unique place so we should have unique sub-forums!
