Default Nearest casino to SLC

Hi all. Will be visiting your lovely state very soon and trying to figure out ways to keep my traveling companion (my dad) entertained. Unlike myself, he's not the outdoorsman. The only things he enjoys are museums, watching TV in the hotel room and going to a casino to play 25 cent poker machines. I want to take him to a casino for one night. Which is the closest one???

Wendover period. I haven't been there in years...my grandparents used to take us out there....so maybe someone can comment on the best casino. Two hour drive on I-80 from SLC.

Wendover Resorts...So Much Fun It Must Be Nevada!

Looks like the place. Reasonable rates too! I've always wanted to see Bonnieville that will be nice. Do they still race cars there.

Thanks

Trebek

Wendover is the nearest and also Las Vegas is about 400 miles.

You can also tell your dad that the Enola Gay spent time out in an old hangar in Wendover. See if you can guess which side is the Utah side and which is the Nevada side! Article

Have fun! I heard there are some nice galleries and museums downtown My dad races every year at Bonneville - good for some photos, lol Let us know your thoughts when you go!

Sorry, I am not much help with the casinos... I am moving there from LV and personally will be happy if I don't see another casino... for a VERY long time! LOL

Good article, Shawn; I think I'll drive out there when it's cooler and look around. Uh, just one clarification. Tibbet's B-29 did not have a name while it was at Wendover Field. He did not name his aircraft until it was on Tinian in the Mariana Islands group. In fact, Tibbits did not decide on a name for his plane until the day before its mission.
