I've noticed that the inventory of plants at big chain home goods stores tends to be not very extensive in Utah. Is there a plant nursery that stands out to the local green thumbs as being particularly good in terms of variety and quality of selection of flowers, vegetables, etc, and staff who are on the ball?

I like Western Gardens. I go to the one on 600 E at about 550 So (behind Trolley Sq). They also have a "plant guy" who can tell you what's wrong with a plant and what to use to fix it!

I was going to suggest Western Gardens, too. There is also one at 9201 South 1300 East.
