Right after the 7-day forecast, which admittedly sucked big time, the weatherman on Channel 2 news said that the 90-day forecast indicates a warmer than usual May and June. Yea!

Not good for the flooding prospects! We need a bit more cool but not cold weather to let the snow melt slowly.

Who do you think I posted this for, kaytidid? I was so bummed out about this week's forefast that when I heard we were going to have an extra warm May and June, I thought, "Okay... maybe I can survive just a couple more weeks of this if I have extra warm weather to look forward to and not just one of those rare, almost non-existant summers where we're still in the 60's in June and back to the 60's in September."

Yeah, I hadn't stopped to think about that. At least, having gone through the mother of all floods in 1983 (?), we know how to deal with an extra fast run-off better than we did back then.

Unfortunately, April is often the last pleasant month until autumn around here. Your unwelcome and rather depressing news implies it will be the case this year.

So, at this point, all that's left to do... the minuscule spark of hope in the otherwise fiery inferno that lay beyond... is to look forward to October.

Guess that means it's a good time to send the mower off for servicing as I'll be using it shortly enough. Got to get the lawn aerated first then hit it with the spring fertilizer. Then I'm on to my weekly chore of mowing the lawn and grooming the yard. Better get my knees back in shape. it's been a LONG winter.

Katz-I feel sooo loved. I figured it was *just* for me! Mother Nature had better be nice to us this summer. I want record breaking heat, gosh darn it.

Chris-What are Katz and I gonna do with you??? As I type this, I am looking out my window and trying to discern what exactly the weather is doing right now. As far as I can tell, it is coming down in a heavy snain...Not all snow, but a bit more white than just rain. Maybe for the summer months, I can send you to live with my brother in law in Fairbanks...?
