Well, I received my offer letter from a company located in SLC.... looks like i will be relocating there from La in a few weeks/month.... i have been there once, just for the job interview, and didn't have anytime to get out and look around. Just by researching on the internet, it looks like Cottonwoods Heights is someplace we are interested in. Does anyone have any recommendations on apartments in that area. Or would anyone have any recommendations on apartments in other nice areas? Thikning we would rather be on the east side versus west. Thanks in advance for any help. Am really looking forward to getting out there.

I've lived in Cottonwood Heights for 29 years. Having also lived in four other parts of the Salt Lake Valley, my opinion is that you're making an excellent choice in choosing to live in this area. I'm a homeowner, so I really don't know the apartment situation super well, Pinnacle Highland, however, is an enormous apartment complex just a few blocks from me. I've never been inside one of the apartments, however I understand that they're quite nice.

Where will the job be and what is your tolerance for driving time? Also, what is your price range? People can help you better if they know these tings. Although, if you're from LA, I guess any driving time is going to be better!

Thanks Katzpur.... from what we have seen on the internet, Cottonwoods Heights just seems like the place we want to be.... I am sure there are other nice areas of SLC, but, it appears it has everything to offer we are looking for..... thanks for the input

Hi SouthernBelle.... driving time isn't too critical, though I'm not coming from the city LA, coming from the state LA (Louisiana), i currently drive an hour each way to work, due to choosing to live someplace I prefer versus closer to work... the hour drive does get somewhat mundane after a while, but, driving an hour to and from over here, versus sitting in traffic in Houston for an hour to go about 18 miles, is a very much more tolerable..... our office is just east, and a little south of the airport, i think..... it is on directors row, if i remember right..... i'll have to cross town, but, from what i've heard, i don't think it should be too much of a problem....

as far as price range, probably would like to stay under $900 - $950..... it will be my wife, 2 youg children (4.5 & 1.5 yrs) and myself..... children are accustomed to being in same room, so, not necessarily looking for 3 bedroom, matter of fact, my son (4.5) is adamant that he doesn't want his little sister to have her own room yet.... give it another year, and he'll be begging for it, but, right now, not a necessity.....

We may have it narrowed down to 2 or 3, one being Pinnacle Highlands another being Royal Ridge (has a playground where Pinnacle doesn't) and another one, that i can't remember right off.....

Would like to thank everyone again for any and all help and insight/opinions....
