Where is a good place to buy moderately priced but decent quality furniture? A place that has a large showroom where you can see and try things out for comfort? I'd be looking for things that you buy immediately vs. special order and that kind of thing. How about places that specializes in mattresses/beds? Would also require delivery service - additional charge for that is fine. If anyone knows what Nebraska Furniture Mart is - I'm looking for something just like that.

I bet you'd love RC Willey which is one of the giants out here. Multiple locations, large showroom, good delivery policies, and you can get good deals if you wait for sales. I have a REAL issue with RC Willey but I'm not going to beat that horse here. Suffice it to say their merchandise isn't of a quality for the $$ I prefer. I think Ashley Furniture has them completely beat. Better quality furniture and actually a larger selection and variety with better pricing structure. RC Willey is basically more of a front for credit/profit merchandise, which is a practice I don't admire. Not to mention their interest rates and bankruptcy involvements.

Several good consignment stores and most of them have delivery options too..I can't remember all of the names but Finer Consignor near Fashion Place, a really cool one in Sugarhouse on 2100 S not far from Whole Foods..Google for the others.
I have had good luck at the TJ Maxx home good stores too..

You've mentioned that before. I've always had reall good experiences shopping there, and I've actually shopped there a fair amount.

I thought the beds and TV I bought at R C Wiley were good quality and good prices. Their delivery was prompt and the guys were professional.

I had a bad experience with RC Willy when we moved here in 92. When we moved down to SLC, I needed to get a fridge and freezer..RC was the only one that had what I needed so oil bit the bullet and traded money for merchandise. It was a good experience this time around so I would go back if I needed to..hard to get past the vultures that wanna sell it to ya though.....

Thanks all - I checked these out online (not out there yet) and looks like plenty of good options. I only need minimal stuff to outfit DH's man cave. Can't wait to make my first trip out there in a couple weeks.
