Hello all,

I'm moving to SLC from Chicago for work in a few weeks and I'm bringing a few reptiles with me. Where I am now, there is a semi-monthly reptile swap meet where you can buy feeders such as silkworms, horned worms, and dubia roaches, which I like to give my reptiles so they're not just eating crickets or superworms all the time. From the little bit of research I've done, I'm having trouble finding any pet stores or similar swap meets where I'd be able to get any of these, and I'd prefer not to have to buy them through the mail. Does anyone have any suggestions on where I might be able to find these feeders?

Thanks

Marks Ark in Taylorsville is the reptile place from what I understand. I know more aquarium places so I'm no reptile expert.

Living Safari in Midvale (6540 South State Street) would probably have reptile supplies. I've been in there a few times and was really impressed with all the reptiles they have on display (some looked quite exotic). Though I didn't specifically look for reptile supplies I'm quite sure they have a decent selection given their heavy presence in the store (they also have soft animals, fish, etc).

Thanks for the suggestions. I called both Living Safari and Mark's Ark (can't wait to check them out once I move). They sell superworms and dubia roaches, which is great, but I still have yet to find a place that sells silkworms or horned worms. Of course, those are my reptiles' favorites!

Glad we could help - I highly recommend a visit to Living Safari. The store is gorgeous and the animals well taken care of, and there are lots of snazzy displays and even a little sitting area with a flat-screen TV showing nature programs, etc. It's not huge, but very visually-appealing.

There is a Wasatch Reptile Expo next weekend. Checking out their sponsors and vendors might turn up some great leads; here's the site: http://www.wasatchreptileexpo.com/WRE/Page_1x.html
