I had to drive down to SLC for a Dr. appointment this morning. Driving from Logan, the winds go worse and worse as we got closer to Davis County. Made it to Centerville, where it was horrible. Then for non-weather related reasons had to turn back here, so not sure how things were further down 15.

I drove to work it in it this morning. It reminded me of that scene in the movie "Twister" where the main characters were driving their pickup through houses as they blew by.
We got by with minimal damage at home (thank god they knew how to build good, strong houses a hundred years ago!
) but our neighborhood looks like a war zone. It's gonna be a busy weekend.
I hope other Davis County members are OK too!!

Its a mess here. Four trees in our yard uprooted. Our wooden fences are all down. Some damage to the raingutters and side exterior of our home.
I've made an insurance claim. The whole neighborhood looks like a bomb went off.

I remember when we lived there me and my wife woke up in the middle of the night one night to the building shaking, it ended up that the wind was so strong, I Was amazed.. The next morning we saw on the news that there were winds of 100 mph through the valley.

Wind storms are quite bad needless to say. I was in the 1989 earthquake in the SF Bay Area. That was a crazy experience to have to go through. I would only hope the people here would respond the same way (but I'm not sure of that). Everyone on the highways was courteous and forgiving and were not thinking of just them selves (which is not typical of the drivers here but I digress). I know in neighborhood situations it's pretty good when a disaster hits. I rather hope we never actually see the big one in our area in my lifetime anyway. I rather hope Messiah returns first
