Wanting to get an idea on how SLC & the UTAH population as a hole view Alternative medicine?

Family and I are looking at a potential relo to the SLC region and wan to know since we work in that field what the employment outlook may be for Chiropractors and Massage Therapists, Spa's etc.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I think that Utah in general embraces the "alternative medicine" field quite well. Chiropractors are quite plentiful. Many get quite into the nutritional supplement thing as well trying to treat all aspects of the patient. There are some good massage schools in the Salt Lake Area that are heavily promoted. If you pick your market area right you'll likely have a good shot at a successful career. I see some smart chiropractors have incorporated a massage therapist in their office which makes for a nice 2 pronged approach. This area is as if not more ripe for what you do then any other place that comes to mind. I'd say go for it. Some hot spots I'd recommend for location of an office would be the E. Millcreek/Holladay area, Cottonwood Hts, Sandy. South Jordan, Draper and Riverton. Good luck

It could be tough, not because there isn't demand, but because the market is flooded. Chiropractors and massage therapists are a dime a dozen.
