I am wondering about high schools there. I will have a 10th grader..wants to play sports so he keeps his grades up. What is a good choice? Am thinking about Granite district, but they seem limited. I obviously want a good academic school, but would like the extracurricular to help ease the transition of moving mid-high school. Any thoughts?

We have been at Skyline for all the high school years and are graduating this spring. We feel the school has been really good from an academic standpoint and the athletic teams are great too, especially tennis. Plus,,, we love our neighborhood too...

I would look for the schools that offer the most college courses. Like Murray high, I think 22 students from my class graduated with their associates, and 50% of students with a year of college credits complete. it saved me 2 years worth of tuition and time, done by 18. They have a great lacrosse, swim and tennis team. Football sucks.

Skyline also offers a large selection of AP classes and I think the football team made it to the state playoffs as did basketball teams. What sports is your child interested in?

It also depends on where the job will be, how far a commute can you tolerate, and what is the budget.
