Thanks for asking that question Sam because I have been Googling all day for these Public Records and finally came across this Link. One more thing I find utterly ridiculous about Utah. If you are 1 in 13 of 50 how normal are you?

What on earth are you talking about, and why make your first post a resurrection of a four-and-a-half year old thread? Why refer to a link that you can't provide the rest of us? What are you actually doing here?

Pretty sure it's a Borg reference. 13 of 50 is probably 7 of 9's best friend. Wait, what? Oh sorry, I thought this was the Star Trek board. Nevermind. I will say that as I'm beginning home shopping here in my new state, I love the easily accessible sales data. Utah keeps it so tightly closed to the public. It's frustrating.

I was also used to having public real estate data. It is true that this is not public data in UT. My suggestion is to use the Assessor's data as your best first estimate of the value for a particular property. Once you have an idea of what / where you are interested in I suggest you get a professional realtor to assist you. They will probably only have specific transaction data where their firm participated in a sale but they can guide you about local values. It's not allowed to name realtors here but I'd be glad to refer you to the one we used if you want - just send me a pm.

Realtors have access to MLS data and can tell you what a property sold for. Texas is another non-disclosure state. I don't know how many there are.
