My husband has accepted a position in the Spanish Fork area. During the first month we would like to look for a house and explore the area. The cost of staying in a hotel during this time would be huge and most apartments do not offer month to month. The fact we have a cat is killing us as well. Does anyone have any recommendations?

Check out KSL.com. Sometimes real estate agents will offer a hugely discounted rent if you "home tend" and keep a home in show condition while it is for sale and being shown. It is temporary housing until the home sells, and they may allow you to do it just for the time that you need it while you are looking for something more permanent.

Not sure about the cat but Homestead Suites or something like that, extended stay places, should be available in the Provo/Orem area.
