Well I'll be darned. Just sorry they are moving so far towards downtown. Don't think I'll likely make it out there much. If it was in Murray or further South I would have. I missed them since we moved from California back in 93. They have an amazing selection that puts Costco to shame. All of it fresh as can be and high quality at low prices. Surprised they made it here as a huge portion of their profits comes from alcoholic beverages elsewhere.

I am surprised at that location. I would think locating so close to Sunflwer and Whole Foods that no one would have any money left for TJ's. Plus,,,,I wish they would be closer to me!

I initially wondered, too, about the proximity to those other stores, but I think TJ's target market is different than the other two (especially Whole Foods). In other cities, I see a lot of students and lower-income populations at TJ's, and those groups rarely go to Whole Foods because of the high prices. Being right in front of a TRAX stop will help appeal to students and lower-income, too.

Sunflower probably presents some competition still, but even their prices on some items are as bad as WF.

True dat Zionide. My first "professional job" outta college was in Sacramento and I met TJs. So poor I couldn't pay attention so I was in there frequently. I really do wish they woulda picked East Millcreek though,
but lucky you!

I'll bet you they will end up with one in "The District" someday. Between Daybreak and Herriman and South Jordan customers they would do very nicely. Just what we need out there.
