i recently visited both bountiful and draper and both had a similar feel to me. very friendly people in both! the main difference imo was that bountiful felt more established and a bit more "old money", whereas draper felt very new, lots of new housing developments, more of a "new money" feel to it. i would assume draper is growing a little bit higher rate because of those new houses being built. i work in the financial services industry and the fact that bountiful may have more retirees may sway me. from what i saw draper may have more younger dual income families with big mortgages, which probably means less investable money than bountiful. for those who know the areas, are my observations generally accurate? thoughts? i appreciate it!!

Up until about 20 years ago - alot of Draper was rural farmland.

Here's a study on their economic development:

No equivalent for Bountiful altho there is a Davis County economic development dept.

Also - you might want to look at the county structure as well. Draper benefits from being in Salt Lake County - Bountiful is in Davis county.

I would think there are decent investment clients in both places. Although generally I would agree that Bountiful probably has a older population, more retirees.

Both are nice places, with Bountiful being slightly nicer since I live there.
