Hmmm.... good post!
I would have to say... GOOD Chinese food. I'm not giving up yet, we're new to Ogden and have only tried 2 places, but still... Ketchup? Get that off the table!! Where the heck is the duck sauce??
Honorable mention: Real, greasy pizza. Soft pretzles. Water Ice.
But I must say, we are still really impressed with the variety and quality of the grub here. Timbermine steak...ummmmmm

A great sub... especially from the New Providence (NJ) deli. Roast beef, sloppy joe, heck I'd even settle for a Thuman's-brand baloney sandwich. You'll find a lot of "New York style" delis in Utah, like Gandolfo's; they're not, nothing close to it.

I REALLY REALLY REALLY would like a sub from back East. I love the sandwiches from WaWa, although they certainly weren't the best there is...they were pretty good though.
A cheesesteak with oodles of grease/juice running down your arm *sigh*
Soft pretzels, especially from the vendors anywhere near the Burlington/Bristol bridge in NJ.
Sure..make me a little homesick today, why don't ya??

You just named some of the favorite stuff that I miss... Man, I could go for a great bagel with Lox. I also miss a bagel with pork roll, egg and cheese
Good luck back in NY. When I think of NY I can smell the hot dogs & pretzels on the corner....mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

ha ha! When we lived in Utah I missed clams so much. My mom had some FedEx'd too me from Legal Seafood when I was pregnant - it was the only thing that would STOP my morning sickness!

I do miss the food on LI. Everything. Specificallyl good ethnic food, and fresh seafood. We went to SC last year, and gorged ourselves on seafood. Ate it every day!
Oh, I never had Ethiopian food until very recently...there is a restaurant...I'm not sure exactly where it is, or what it is called!! But it is on Redwood Road, maybe 10 miles S of the highway. It is located on the W side of the road upstairs from an African market. We went there because we are adopting from Ethiopia.
