Default Moving to SLC

I live in Nevada but I am planning to move to SLC and plan on attending the U of U. My parents and I going down there next month, but I'd really like to know what area is nice and safe. I'm looking for a nice apartment and reasonable pricing. Any suggestions on what apartments are good? I'd really appreciate it

Anywhere by the University is nice. A lot of apartments in the $500-$600 range. Very cheap and very safe. Anywhere Downtown is safe as is Sugarhouse. Both are easily accesible from the U. Everywhere for that matter is relatively safe. Just avoid the west side of town. It's not what you or I would consider ghetto but it's "bad" by Utah standards. When you get there, you'll see what I mean. Just don't live any farther than 200 West.
