Yes ... several down in Utah County. A big place called TeleperformanceUSA near Salt Lake at 5600 West and 2100 South. American Express about 4500 South and I-215 runs one.

There are tons! I've heard that we have so many because people from Utah have a standard American accent. I'm pretty sure every teen that has grown up in SLC has worked at a call center. Some off the top of my head are: Convergys, Teleperformance, Verizon Wireless, Discover Card, Marriott, and 1-800-CONTACTS. I'm sure there's more but those are the main ones people work at. I worked at the Marriott call center for 2 years! It was after that I vowed NEVER to work in a call center again!

Haha I worked at a call center in high school...it was called Matrix Marketing now called Convergys in Roy. I was surrounded by lazy teens and burned out old people. I did love selling the Monkey's Greatest Hits and signing people up for BMG video clubs.

So tell me how the pay rate is for telemarketing in UT? I am actually an assistant manager for luxury apartment homes here in Fl. and am concerned of the pay cut form Fl. to UT.

While I was doing my job search I thought it would be a good idea to work for a call center doing surveys. It was the most hellacious two weeks of my life (work wise). In Logan, the call centers pay $7 - $10 per hour depending on experience.

I know there is one in Sugar House area of SLC, that does inbound calls for two large non-profit organizations.

LOL. Yeah, right. It's just in Fl. the pay is higher in metro areas...figured maybe it was the same there...I wonder what assistant managers for apt. complexes get paid in SLC...
