Tooele is not a small town any more. it is growing quickly. Cheap housing and comute to down town make it desirable. Your best bet is south of SLC. Sandy is a great choice. close to the mountains. 20 minutes to the top of Little Cottonwood canyon. Great schools. Rated high on Forbes "Best Places To Live" #23. If small is what you really want, try Grantsville. lans is cheap. $250K for 1 acre with a house. Same distance as Tooele.

Tooele is significantly cheaper and has significantly less traffic than Sandy. But Sandy will have more shopping and is closer to things. Sandy has trax to downtown. The whole Wasatch front from Odgen to Provo is basically a metropolis. Where will you be working? What kind of schools do you want? Do you want a small town feel or are you alright in suburbia? Those are the questions you should ask yourself.
