Jenny82,

Some places your kids might also enjoy are the Seven Peaks water park and the ice skating rink in Provo. They are a lot of fun. Google them for details.

And no one should come to Salt Lake City without visiting Temple Square. It is a historic hotspot whether you are religious or not. There are also restaurants in the Joseph Memorial Building, and a theater that shows a movie about the founding of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

I realize you have younger kids who might not appreciate all the historical and religious information; however, just a walk through is worth it. The designers of the Salt Lake Temple visited the cathedrals of Europe to study architecture, so it is a breathtaking building.

Also, if you are religious, there is no better place to feel God's influence than a place where people suffered so much to serve him as best they can. The Mormon Pioneers gave up their possessions, social connections, and in many instances, their lives to follow Jesus Christ. There really is a peaceful feeling to the temple block that you will enjoy.

My Catholic grandkids love Temple Square for the flowers and fountains and statues. and they thought going in the Tabernacle was "neat."
