I have been poking around online a bit looking for apartments in SLC (I am not from the area, strongly considering a move here over the summer). Although the prices look very affordable and the complexes look very good in my opinion, I have seen a lot of bad reviews online (Palladio, Sky Harbour, etc). I realize that it is probably just a case of thin-skinned people taking to the internet to complain, but I would rather not take my chances.

Here are my demands:
-Looking for a single bed or studio up to $750 per month, including any "hidden fees"
-Dishwasher
-On-site parking (and enough for everyone so that I will never get screwed out of a spot)
-A lack of bed bugs and cockroaches would be great. Reviews online indicate this is a common problem, which I find hard to believe, again better safe than sorry I guess...
-As far as location goes, not super picky. I would prefer it to be near the downtown/nightlife attractions or the University of Utah campus. But for a great apartment I would probably be willing to live as far south as Sandy
-Other than that I consider the luxuries like A/C, pool, gym, etc. to be nice bonuses that could contribute to my decision but not a "need" by any means.

At the end of the day I am not that picky, but stuff like cockroaches and bed bugs sounds like a bad time to me. Searching online indicates studios as low as $500-550 and plenty of options up to $750, so I don't think I am being too stingy, but let me know if going up a bit would offer significantly better options
