Alcohol permits Ľ Four-decade Snowbird tradition is at risk of having to go on without beer and wine.

Fans of Snowbird Ski Resortís annual Oktoberfest will be able to enjoy a German bratwurst, but maybe not a mug of Hefeweizen, now that the state liquor commission is getting tough about granting single-event permits to businesses.

This is perfect example of WHO truly "runs" the State of Utah. 3 guesses and the 1st two don't count.

I can't say that I agree with this. I live in UT and would hate to see this actually happen but I haven't seen anything definitive to this point. It may be that others are in wait and see mode as well.

Why does our moderator think it is a non-issue. To whom?

I personally do not drink beer or be caught dead in Oktoberfest in Utah (Munich was alright except for hotels) but the over enthusiasm of the state liquor commission is not a non-issue to a number of readers. And, it should be alright to vent...
