I belong to a non-profit weight loss group that needs to find a new meeting location. We can go just about any where that is open for around 35 people on Friday mornings. Because we charge dues we can't use any city or county buildings.

We are willing to provide a service in exchange or to pay a small rental fee. This would be a long term arrangement. We need a location before the end of this year but the sooner the better.

Thanks.

What about a church?
Lifechurch
St. Stephens Episcopal Church, West Valley City, Utah
First Baptist Church of West Valley City | Exalting…Evangelizing…Equiping
Bible Baptist Church

The last one even has a "Request for Use of Facilities" link. It's listed at more than you'd probably want to pay, but maybe they'd work something out with you for a long-term agreement.

You could also try a local VFW or American Legion post; they rent their facilities for all kinds of meetings and events. There's a Fraternal Order of Eagles lodge at 4500 West and 3500 South (post 3285), but I can't find contact information online.

Life Church can't. We are contacting the other churches. I hadn't thought of the VFW and the others. Thanks.

Any more ideas? Any businesses?

I would have said try the libraries, but you did say that you've already checked into county facilities.

I know that many city and county buildings definitely charge for events that aren't free and open to the public, but I'm surprised that a library rooms wouldn't be available for a non-profit to meet. Even book clubs often charge fees to cover expenses.
