I'd go with Draper
It depends on what kind of non-LDS church you are looking for. e.g., in Draper there is a really great Catholic Church---St. John the Baptist. There are quite a number of Catholic parishes and a goodly amount of non-denominational churches. The standard Protestant churches are a little in short supply.
i'd advise against West Jordan....a personal quirk. Nothing wrong with the people or the area, but one of the people who serves in the Utah legislature from West Jordan is the quintessential horse's rump.
Draper also has good schools and nice neighborhoods.

Jordan District has been known for more than a decade as the go to district for programs, professionals in the school systems etc. for kids with disabilities.
I'm hoping the comment about Alta's special ed is correct. It gives parents/students more options.

Does anyone know to what age the special needs kids attend the public schools? My son has Cerebral Palsy and a few other daignosis' and we are looking to make a move to the SLC area within the year. Here in WI they attend HS through the age of 21. He will be 19 when we make the move, hence the question.

The information hasnt changed any, old or not. The only thing that probably has changed dramatically is that Daybreak is a"Super community" and is building its own shopping mall, etc etc etc. THey have about 14,000 residents last known count. I have lived here for a while, SOuth Jordan MS and Bingham high still remain ahead of many of theo thers. I am not sure Mtn States Resident about the special ed programs in Jordan to be honest- I just have a friend whos daughter goes to Alta, and they are a strong program. Thats all I really know about that!
