Default Any African American Hair Stylists?

My daughter has recently relocated to SLC for work, and desperately needs a hair stylist comfortable with African American hair styles. This may be a long shot for Salt Lake City, but I thought it was worth asking! Thanks in advance for any guidance.

No doubt! The one and only time I went there I took my 3 year old daughter to have her hair cut. She has mixed hair. They didn't even put conditioner in her hair before trying to comb it out. She was tramatized. Never again!~

My nephew is half African-American. He's a teenager and his hair always looks awesome. I don't know if he goes to a barber or a unisex hair-stylist. I'll ask my sister.

Are you looking specifically for African American hair stylists or someone skilled at styling African American hair? My 16-year-old African American nephew has a great looking hair style. I could ask my sister who styles it.

Default Black Hair Stylist In Utah.

Hello all,
My name is Samar and I am a black hair stylist moving to Utah from California. I am currently in Portland Oregon due to my husband's work and will be moving to Utah in July 2010. I specalize in African American hair but can do all kinds of hair. I have been in the business for over 12 years and specialize in weaves and hair extensions. I am currently looking to purchase a shop or join one were I can work and hopefully bring joy to Afican American's in Utah. Moderator cut: can't solicit business

Can you do braids and sew-in weaves?? That's a BIG request here especially for African-American women here in Utah do to the military. Where are you moving exactly?? I personally traveled to Phoenix to get my hair done but that will not be feasible for long......looking forward to you skills in the area??
