I love funeral potatoes. They are my ultimate comfort food. I even bought a funeral potatoes Olympic pin in 2002.

I'm one of (it seems) only a few Utahns who doesn't like the Spaghetti Factory. I think their food is bland. But I'm Italian...and no one cooks like mom & grandma used to.

No, not a fan of spaghetti factory either... plus it's a national chain so not sure why anyone visiting Utah would want to eat there.

Caffe Molise is good and Stoneground has good hand made pasta as well. I know plenty of people Cannellas. We went there for dinner and weren't terribly impressed but we went back for lunch and liked their sandwiches.

Proper (and the original) fry sauce includes pickle juice and sometimes bits of pickle, too.

Try Per Noi in Sugar House. Very small, family-owned, and authentic.

Some pretty good ethnic (Mahidir, Oh Mai, Spice Bowl) and sushi options as well (Naked Fish, Takashi).
Tried Oh Mai tonight. That was one great sandwich! Will definitely be going back.

Agreed glad you liked it. I love the beef short rib with kimchi (kinda spicy so hold the jalapeños if sensitive) sammy.
