I am looking to relocate for a great career opportunity. I happen to love the arts, live music, events and sports. My guess thus far is downtown would be the place to be... even though the office is south (Draper).
Thoughts? Recommendations on where downtown to rent? Thanks all!

I would definitely say downtown. Draper only about a 20 minute drive away from traffic or direct trax service goes there from downtown which only again takes about 25/30 mins and is good but will depend where in Draper the office is.
Lively scene downtown and lots of bars, restaurants, events, movies and concerts. Otherwise as nice as Draper is it in my opinion full of families mainly and not much in the way of nightlife at all. If I was in your position I would definitely choose the city. There are lots of music venues, and lots of sports on, if like soccer can drive or get trax to Sandy to watch soccer and Utah Jazz play downtown. I would say around the avenues maybe or Sugarhouse even, although this is on the branch line to the mainline I think of the Trax. I was there last Monday and Wednesday and was a breath of fresh air seeing everyone after work out enjoying themselves in the many bars and restaurants the city has to offer. More diversity of food types too. Hope that helps.
