Hello everyone:
this is my first post and do appreciate all of you for the help in advance.
I have the possibility of relocating from NM to salt lake. can anyone please let me know what type of transportation is being available in salt lake?
also does anyone know if there is a transportation program for the blind and visually impaird. Here in NM we have a program call sunvan which takes people that cannot drive and offers them door to door service.
I would very much appreciate any info that any of you could please share.

There is a typical metro bus system. There is also light rail called Trax from Draper up to downtown, and downtown to the University of Utah. The light rail is scheduled to be expanded to several locations west of town, but that's probably five years away. There is a new commuter service called "Front Runner" that is being built. Part of it, running from Brigham City in the north to Salt Lake will open in about a year. Another part, running from Utah county to Salt Lake is still a few years away. I don't know about services for the blind, but I have seen mini-busses that are handicapped accessible around. Check out the UTA website (rideuta.com).
