Park City Or Somewhere Similar
I'm in my mid 20s and thinking of relocating to Park City. I'm wanting to live in a place that offers an abundance of outdoor activities and things to do and Park City seems like a good fit. Can any locals tell me if it is feasible to find a good job and live comfortable in Park City? Also does anyone have any ideas of a similar town in Utah? How long is the drive usually from Park City to SLC on a given day?

Park City is fabulous! You will find the people friendly, the food delicious, and plenty of outdoor fun. On any given day, the drive to SLC is about 20-30 minutes depending on where you want to go in the city. Good luck!

Park City is also notoriously expensive for housing!

Park City is a pretty awesome town! It has alot of good restaurants and plenty of shopping. It's right in the middle of virtually anything you could imagine doing. It is a really expensive town, thoguht too, and has many, many new houses going up.

In everyones opinion, is Park City a town you can live in or just a place you want to visit?

Park City is the type of town people dream about living in the first time they visit.
Aside from all the recreational oppurtuniteis and resorts and stuff, Main Street is more than just for tourists. I am sure the locals find themselves there just as often as us tourists. They have over 100 restaraunts and bars, 3 microbreweries, tons of shopping, (Main Street, factory stores, plus all the big box stores), an ice skating arena, almost anything you could want. It is only a half hour's drive from SLC, and it's school district was rated in the top 10 of the entire country.
For a town of only about 9000, it's not too bad!

I just went to Park City this week for my daughter's soccer game. The exit for the field (a local elementary school) was just one exit west of the main PC exit (Kimball Junction) and I was just so overwhelmed with the beauty of this little neighborhood. It was a cluster of tract type homes (so different from the main street homes or the multi-million dollar mansions - they were homes for families) within beautiful rolling hills and trails. The team they were playing were from Park City so it was cool to see families living there.
