Default Recycling??

Does anyone know of anywhere that recycles glass? I mean really you don't have to be a liberal tree hugger to want to be economically friendly. Why is Utah so behind in enviromentalism?

We recently weren't given a choice. The city dropped off a big recycling can and charged a manadory fee for twice a month pickup. That's ok. I wanted to recycle, but never could find a place to take stuff.

West Jordan City recycles. They give you a regular garbage can that is black, a green garbage can for clippings and a blue garbage can for recycling. They pick them up every week. I know for sure that they take paper, plastic, and aluminum. I don't know about glass.

If you are able to get up to Layton there is a large recycling center on Rt 193 near Rt 89. Utah in general is about 20 yrs behind the curve in recycling.

SLC does not take glass - they take garbage, recyclables of the paper/cardboard/aluminium type, and yard waste.

Default FREE GLASS recycling!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I met this girl at the green festival, her name is Kate and she will recycle your glass from your house for free. The email to contact her is kate@freewhat.org , Otherwise there are places in SLC you can recycle glass. Recycling should be law in this state, its really sad its not.
