Nope. Some friends tried to book a party there last year, that is where they were engaged, and were surprised to find it closed.

Well cripes...where are all the good local places going to? The only steakhouses that seem to be around are the chain restaurants.

BTW lolagranola...I love your message. All three of my dogs are spayed! I am a huge advocate also!

I completely understand. Once when I was traveling in Japan on business I had to eat a multi-course dinner of many unknown things offered by a big-wig at a Japanese company we were doing business with. There were snails, various unknown sea creatures, and other strange things I couldn't even identify. Of course to avoid offense one has to eat . . .

Ill stick to American food..I do eat Chinese and Japanese but its stuff I know they can't alter..lol. As for Mexican, taco bell only. I dont know call me weird. I am not into the ethnic food groups. Of course people think Im weird when I mention blue crabs and that I eat soft shell crabs. I am heading back to Maryland Tuesday for a week and I am going to get my fill before I head back here and have to deal with what restaurants call good seafood..lol

I am thinking 4700 S or 5400 S? About 1800 W? It is right off Redwood Rd. That was pretty good, too. It was always so busy every time we would go. I don't think it is as good as Lonestar, but not too bad.
Texas Roadhouse is at 1950 West and 5400 South in Taylorsville. When I drive by it's always packed. I've eaten there twice and I prefer Lonestar and Ruby River.

I'd say it's worth a try. I really like their steaks. Their baked potatoes are good too.

We ate at The Paris at 15th and 15th in SLC tonight. The food was pricey but excellent - New American cuisine with French and Italian inspiration. The atmosphere was great - very European feel to it. But I have to say we almost walked out before even ordering. We came in at 5:30 with a reservation and the place was 100% empty. The hostess proceeded to seat us in the worst table in the whole place, right next to the door/hostess stand. I requested a better table and was told they had too many reservations to seat me at the one I wanted. We found a compromise and all ended out ok, but I was still quite put off by the unwelcoming hostess.
