I feel like I'm living in a big city but everything operates as a small town. Even the Starbucks closes at 9....really what is up with that???? I'm used to 24 hr Starbucks on weekends, opening at 5am and not closing until 11 on weeknights. I know mormons don't generally drink caffeine..but there are some non lds people in this city

NO, this is a new bldg put up about a yr ago, on the southeastern corner of the intersection. Go south down State Stfrom downtown to 2100 South, turn left and then go right into their parking/driveup lane. Or come up State St from the valley, it will be on your right-hand side at the intersection with 2100 South.
The city is dead simple to figure out. It's like a giant xy graph with the temple at the zero point. Streets to the east of the temple are 100 E, 200 E, etc. Streets to the south are 100 S, 200 S, etc. the first number in an address is the bldg number the second number is the street itself. 1250 S 2300 East is on the street 2300 East and the bldg is 1250 blocks south of the temple. Some of the smaller streets have names but folks always give the number reference (like Johnston St (3500 South), for ex. |

Once you learn the grid system, you will wonder how you ever lived without it elsewhere. I was confused at first too, but the street plan is very well laid out in each city. |

Yeah but I'm so used to named streets...i can't understand why if my street, road or whatever it is is 10600 than why is it called 1600..that is what is gonna get me..lol

It's confusing because the ones that run north to south or called east or west, and vice versa. Then people abbreviate, like call 3300 33rd, so that makes it even more confusing.

I agree! Trying to adjust after moving from Jersey about threw me for a loop! It really is easier though, just takes some time getting used to. After 14 years, there are still times when I get confused in residential areas.
