What about the area just west of 4000 west and south of 4100 south by Valley View Memorial Park. Is it still safe there?

I'd look farther west than 5600 west, or perhaps around the fitness center. Don't know about the 4000 west and 4100 south for sure.

Well i only know about one murder for sure in that area. And that occured almost 27 years ago. On 4100 South in the Fairlane Heights subdivision which has been a more expensive neighboorhood than most in that area, There was a couple murdered in their home and they were prominent residents of Salt Lake County. Then in that neighboorhood some older people have died off or been put in a nursing home and the houses just sit there or they are sold insteadof being left to a son or daughter who could keep the place up. So gangs are trying to move there but the people are trying to prevent that. There was an incident on December 28 ehere they spray painted three walls.

west valley
I have lived in West Valley the last 10 years. I live South of 4100 and west of 3200. It is a safe area. Also, the one by Valley View is supposed to still be nice. My friend at work still lives in that area with her parents while she is going to school and she has talked about how nice it is. She lives on the second street East of Valley View. The neighborhoods West of 2700 and in between 4100 and 4700 are generally nice.

You mean Deno Drive where your friend live's? Because there is Valley View then west of that is Charles Drive then Deno Drive. I've lived on the street east of that which is 4205 West. It is the street by the Murder House.

correction
I was talking about the west side so much I meant that she lived 2 streets east of valley view. Sorry. I guess I haven't been here long enough. I don't know about the murder house.

No i was wrong. When i said west i really meant east of valley view. The murder house is at 4215 West 4100 South just east of valley view. I t was the site of the only murder in Fairlane Heights which is the neighboorhood that you and i have been talkng about. This occured on Febuary 27, 1980. The victims were Orson Thayne Acord and Lorraine Kimmie Acord. They were both extremly prominent residents of salt lake county. There house was broken into by an 18 year old and a 15 year old that lived in the neighboorhood. They shot them to death. It was awful. They are buried over at Valley View. I take flowers over every year on the anniversary and i clean it every week. Besides that it has been perfect. The place is even better because of the Winder Dairy by it. It is owned by the Winder family who also built Valley View. They are nice people. Were in the same ward.

area
you might know the girl at my work. Her name is Maren Larsen (I think the last name is right). Anyway, she has mentioned on more than one occasion that the area is still pretty nice. I live in the Indian Village subdivision and it is pretty nice, especially the homes east of the elementary school. Last summer the homes in our neighborhood sold within a week. I hope it is true this year because we might be selling. Wish me luck.
