Default does your health insurance cover your kids flu shots?

Have anyone here heard of a 4 year old not covered by health insurance for a flu shot, but the parents/adults are? They will only cover my 4 year old unless he has a chronic illness. It doesn’t make sense to me that I’m covered but my son isn't..I’m with Regence BlueCross BlueShield of Utah.

In flu season, the grocery stores offer low-cost flu shots, like $20.

I'm on BCBS also, and flu shots aren't covered at all. My employer offers a "flu shot day" where shots are covered 100%. Overall, flu shots aren't expensive.
