I probaly should of started this earlier but I'm sure as you are all aware Real Salt Lakes new Rio Tinto Stadium opens tomorrow when the New York Red Bulls visit. It is expected to be sold out and my question is how much of a buzz is around the Sandy area or SLC in general if any?

I know I can't wait to watch it live back here.

Maybe I tuned it out when I listened to the news, but I haven't seen or heard anything that I remember. Of course, I haven't read today's paper yet. No one I know has mentioned it, either. OTOH, I don't really care as I am not a sports fan. It's interesting to me that a Kiwi would know about it before me!

And that cost way more than it was supposed to? With the resultant accusations of cronyism and scams?

Yes, the stadium is beautiful and people should be glad to have it in their city. I can't wait to see the second game in the stadium, next Saturday, and my husband and I bought season tickets for next year.

Its great to see Real Salt Lake off that surface at Rice Eccles. Also great for the Utah area for them to finally get their own stadium. I can't wait for the next game broadcasted overhere.
