Default Murray High School

Is it possible to enroll in Murray High School if you live outside of the school district? Say I live in Holladay, but my child wants to attend Murray, is it possible?

Yes! As far as i know they have open enrollment,in all the school districts now.Pending permission, from the school in which you'ld like to attend.Knew lots of guys living in Granger boundries, attending Brighton High & Skyline High Schools for their football ability(i won't name names). I think as long as you can get to school you can go there....hope that helped..GO-SPARTANS

Why would you want to do that? Murray isn't as good as the more eastern high schools.

It isn't? I thought I had heard that Murray High School was the best in the area.

I plan on coming to Salt Lake City during Thanksgiving. How is the weather around Thanksgiving and is the Hotel Monaco a decent place? Last time I stayed at the Grand America.

The weather is usually getting a bit chilly by Thanksgiving, and I remember having snow on the ground a few times.

Love, love, love the Hotel Monaco!!

Ohhh, good hotel! In 2001, it started snowing on Thanskgiving night and didn't really stop until Sunday.

I asked a young man who grew up here about Murray High and he said it was pretty good, that a lot of money had been put into the building and equipment. He's 27 now, so maybe info is dated - maybe not.

I think it is a newer building, and I had read that they are receiving money from Disney because of the use of the building in High School Musical. Murray is less upscale than we were going for, but we heard the high school was good so we were wondering if we could enroll there and live outside the district.

I did read that David Archuleta attends the school part-time, but I had read that school was excellent, but I cannot access test scores. Great Schools doesn't have any info on it. I think it would be nice to go to a school in our neighborhood though.
