Well, I had a good 4 inches before it stopped and now it's beginning to melt. Hueimo, how did you do driving in it? Or did you avoid it?

The lake effect hit exactly my area and we got pounded with snow. What a sight for sore eyes!

Where did you hear that? That is awesome!

We are coming out from the 14th-18th and were totally BUMMED that many of the resorts had listed 21st on their sites.

I think I got 6"+, but I'm up on the benches somewhat. It really wasn't sticking to the roads much. I was fine & I don't even have my snow tires on yet.

You lucked out - that's awesome about Snowbird! Solitude is the only one I know that was scheduled to open on the 14th. But the others don't seem to be moving up their opening dates even with all the new snow they got.

thanks for asking, I did have the first encounter of not being able to break completely when trying to do a right turn, I was so afraid of hitting another car, but I beaked eventually. I don't seem to have much problems going down hill or up, just the turns, it feels like my wheels were 'trapped' in the snow when trying to turn, but don't know how that would effect the breaks from working.

Another thing is, my left window would get all fogged up (I did try to turn on my defros thing), but this slowed down on me merging to the left at the yield sign at the freeway exist on I 80 for foothill drive, the driver in the back was super impatient and beeped me like crazy…I just wish he was more understanding, come on..it’s a snowy day! I just had to let it go, my kid’s safety in the back is more important than getting mad at him…

Yesterday was the first time I drove so much in snow…thanks for your concern.

Although it sounds contradictory, run the a/c with the defroster. The a/c helps dry out the inside. My car does this automatically when I turn on the defroster, but maybe not all cars do it. Ignore the honkers and go slow, be safe! Like you said, you and your child's safety comes first!.
