I have a friend visiting me in SLC and she’s interested in going to the Zion national park/Bryce canyon park. I’m thinking it might be too difficult for me to join any tour group with her and bring my child along. So I’m trying to look for a tour group for her to join on her own, like a 2-3 day package that includes hotel and after she’s done, I can pick her up from there. But the problem is, I’m trying to look for a pickup/drop her off place that is close to where I live and she can join the tour from there and I called around, most of the depart tours start from Las Vagas or there’s simply no tours available at this time of the year? The best way to do this seems to be driving on our own from SLC to these parks?? We’re looking for a tour package where she could just stay with the tour bus and tour group without doing much hiking..also, any Chinese speaking tour group would be better since she speaks Chinese, not so much English. Thanks for helping!

This is not the best time of year to visit. If it snows there, both locations are high and get really cold. If she doesn't hike, then all you can do at Bryce is look over the edge at the top of the cliff and see the formations. The lodge there is VERY nice but expensive and may be closed. Zion has a small town where you can stay and eat (also a lodge on the grounds, also expensive). The town, Springdale, is cute and has shops to wander through. There is a shuttle bus into the park, you cannot drive your own car. The park runs the bus but again, maybe not now. You would do better googling the parks to see what's open now.
