Default North Ogden, Pleasant View, Mountain Green

I am looking for any information on any of these areas. We are looking to move to North Ogden, Pleasant View or Mountain Green area. We are moving from South Carolina, any information about the various communities and high schools would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

I grew up in North Ogden and Pleasant View. These are two wonderful cities and crime is basically no existent. These towns are heavily LDS, but most of the new people moving in are not LDS. I believe there are some new developments going in as we speak called Jacob's Mill. ($300,000's and up) I graduated from Weber High and we had over a million dollars in scholarships the year I graduated. Weber would offer basically every AP class a kid could ask for. I loved it! These small towns are mostly middle class and on the bench. The kids at school were pretty well off (my friend's parents household incomes were around $70-120k) and approximately 98% White.

Default I live in North Ogden

Hi, I was interested to see your post. I live in North Ogden and love it here. I would strongly suggest moving to an existing home as you'll get a lot more value for your buck. Pleasant View and North Ogden in many ways are the same city, andMountain Green is very secluded. I would not move there with kids. The schools in N. Ogden and Pleasant View are very good. I agree with the Weber High assesment. I have kids in elementary, JR High, and High. They've had great teachers for the most part and the community is very supportive. There are a lot of opportunites for people of all ages. You can see the community calendar for N. Ogden at www.northogdencity.com .

As for housing, we have a 3,000 sq. ft. home with a 3 car garage, 1/3 acre, 3 baths and 6 bedrooms. It would sell for around $200-210K while a comperable new home would be at least $50K more. Incidentally, I am thinking seriously about putting my house on the market, so if you're interested, let me know.

Pleasant View has wonderful neighborhoods, but also more upper class homes (though there are those in N. Ogden too). We have found that those areas are not as down to earth culturally, so I wouldn't prefer to live in them.

Oh, we are 20 minutes to the temple and the church is very active here. Scouting is generally very strong here as well. Email if you have any specific questions. We'll be happy to help. We moved here from Colorado 6 years ago and haven't looked back. You just can't find more wonderful people, fantastic views, and homes at such good prices anywhere. Good Luck.
