Default Need Help Deciding on a Move

I am hoping someone can tell me more about the area around Logan. My son is out near Mantua and is headed for Logan. He said the area is just BEYOND BEAUTIFUL!!! We are looking to relocate somewhere warmer (currently in Wisconsin and are being hit AGAIN by snow today....total 12 inches so far this month!!). Are the roads passable in winter, how much snow do you get and how long does it stay, what's the humidity like in summer, do you have mosquito and fly problems in summer, how hot does it get in summer and cold in the winter. Looking for a property with acreage for a couple of horses. How much something like that cost in the area? Is there another area you might recommend?

Can't tell you much except to say LOgan is always colder then Salt Lake and it gets a lot of snow. Try posting in the general Utah forum, not Salt Lake City and you might get responses.

Honestly, if you're looking for something warmer, Logan isnt where you want to be. I dont know specifics as of now, but I lived there for the first 10 years of my life and have many fond memories of being snowed in. My mom said Logan winters are worse (colder and more snow) than the winters in her city in Alaska (near anchorage), but seasons vary, some are worse and some are more mild. It's nothing if you're from Wisconsin though I'm sure. Summers arent as hot as the rest of Utah.

It's not humid here (in general) at all....very dry. Nothing out of the ordinary with flies or other bugs.

I dont have figures, but I know COL is generally lower in the Logan area than other Utah metro areas, yet so are wages.

As far as temps, check out the stats for Logan on this site...it'll tell you all the average snowfall, and temps you want.
