Default Salt Lake County (Obama or McCain?)

I enjoy studying election results, mainly because I come from a political family, and I cannot figure out if Obama or McCain won Salt Lake County. The New York Times says one thing and CNN says another. Who won the county?

The county includes the city which is pretty liberal and even the Republicans got sick of Bush. Also, many voeted for Romney, not a lot but maybe enough to make a difference.

I did notice that Salt Lake County sends a higher percentage of votes than average to third party candidates. That might have been the issue, it is just a little surprising.

CNN says so because they haven't updated their results since November - later on they found out Obama won Salt Lake County, along with Summit County (no surprise there) and Grand County.

I was surprised to find out that Summit went for GWB in 2004, hopefully we all can have the opportunity to vote for Mitt Romney in 2012 or even your Governor Jon Huntsman, Jr.

Not all of us will vote that way. But let's keep to the original point, the recent vote.
