SLC Fittest City in the Country
From Men's Health Magazine. Take a look at #1.
Top 25 Fittest Cities (I realize only 10 showed up here. Maybe someone else can do a better job posting this info!)
1. Salt Lake City, UT
2. Colorado Springs, CO
3. Minneapolis, MN
4. Denver, CO
5. Albuquerque, NM
6. Portland, OR
7. Honolulu, HI
8. Seattle, WA
9. Omaha, NE

And Minneapolis. You've got to respect a population who can get super fit with 1/2 the year absolutely frigid!!

Way to go Utah. I heard that on the news also. I also heard where I live is the one of the least fittest...it was on the other list. I wasn't too happy about that

did it give any support data, or reasonings, etc? i'd be curious to see what their analysis of the stats is.

I wouldnt read too much into that survey. Another survey didnt even Include SLC in the top 16 most fit cities by USA today. They also omitted Denver. However, I would imagine SLC is a fit city due to is outdoor activites.

Well of course every survey will have different results. That's true no matter what survey someone is doing. That said, it's nice to SLC recognized as fit. I've certainly seen a TON of fit people (and not just 20-somethings. Very fit 50 and 60 somethings too). Certainly it's due to the mountains--hiking, biking, skiing, etc etc.
Now Detroit being a fit city? That one I would have a hard time believing. I'd like to know the criteria used or else I've been misjudging it!
