Provo, SLC, Logan, Ogden are #1,2,4,5 for having the worst air today. Bakersfield is #3, per TV news report. Ugh!

Wow that's too bad, did it make it harder to breathe? Utah still has the greatest snow on earth!

I haven't been outside today. Usually, it just makes your lungs work harder and can bring on asthma and heart attacks. I live about 10 min from the east side mountains and I could not see them today.

I had the eye opening experience of driving down from Park City today. Up there it was a crystal clear blue sky day. Having a brown sky day is still a very unique experience for me. So I grabbed my phone & took some shots from the car:

Normally you can see the city below at this point:

I took these yesterday just after we got out of Spanish Fork Canyon on the way to Provo.

This one was just before we came down into town.

This one was from the balcony of the hotel in downtown SLC last night.

I've never seen this before, so I was kind of shocked! lol. It seemed worse today.

yeah, we really need some creative brainiacs to come up with a nationally viable alternative energy source, cuz here in utah, with the large cities crowded into such high-walled valleys, this inversion sucks.

heard on the news yesterday that the life span was 5 months shorter here because of winter pollution levels.

This is definately the one UT complaint I can't rebute!

This is the first Jan in a few years that I personally have not had a breathing issue...though, I have hardly been outdoors, and spent the last 4 Sats in Park City.
