Ok. So we will be in SLC this Wednesday night. I think we are going to first look in Sandy and Cottonwood Heights. Number 2 choice will be West Jordan. And then Layton, as a last resort. I found about 12 houses in the first 2 areas that we really like, so hopefully it all works out! Thanks alot, everybody, for all of your help!

I thought it is the opposite...North of Bountiful (South would be SL) and South of Farmington...

I think you would really like Davis County. I grew up in Woods Cross. It's kind of ghetto now. I didn't pike Bountiful too much because a lot of the people are stuck up in my opinion. I moved to West Layton two years ago and love it. We have a horse ranch two blocks from us, live right by a park, and there is a lot of farms around us too. The schools there are fabulous! Everyone is really friendly. They have tons of community activities. I like the view of the mountains and the great sunsets. Kaysville is a great area as well as Farmington or Centerville. The farther north and west of Salt Lake you get the cheaper houses are and the bigger they are. The commute from Layton is not bad at all. Since Legacy Hwy opened it is much better than a commute from Sandy or Magna. I would never live in Magna either. My cousins lived there and they are way screwed up. That's just been my experience. Layton and surrounding areas I think are very friendly, accepting and safe. Hope that helps.

You want to be in the Salt Lake Valley. The closer to SLC, the better for non-Mormons. It's not so suffocating and alienating when it's 50/50. You'll be far outnumbered, and out of place, in Davis and Weber counties.
