UT is #1 Consumer of Online Porn
Heard it on the news today - someone did a study for the past 2 or so years, loooking at the most popular online porn sites. Per capita, Utah had the highest rate of viewers in the country. Not something to be proud of!
The news segment mentioned that a very conservative area had high consumption of porn due to a repressed society, or something like that. Not sure if I agree or disagree. Just a curious factoid.

The Marriott family who are big-time LDS promote the viewing and buying of porn in their hotel chain. Anything to make a buck for the prophet.

Like it or not Utah is the MOST suppressed society of all in the U.S. Why should this surprise you. I've spoken to a friend who happens to be a psychologist and this is what he has told me. When you suppress desires and needs they manifest themselves in some less than wonderful ways. California may be pretty darn smutty, but they let it hang out. Here in Utah we just keep it behind closed doors. NO difference. Our rape rates are an abomination in Utah as well. Sad really. But just look around yourself sometime in the summer. The way girls from ages 12 well into their 20's parade around showing off way more of their body than one would think acceptable doesn't help matters. Sure, it is society at large, but in Utah it is as if not MORE prevalent. I've traveled more than my share and this is what I've observed.

Im not surprised. like dcisive said, the people here try to hide the fact that sex and stuff is normal, there too conservitive and so they do it behind closed doors. not to mention the amount of kids here, holy hell. You dont think these little mormon boys are wondering what the female parts look like?????
