Dcisive, you must live near me. I just LOVE those ATV's buzzing all over the place (NOT). You're right - a lot of people in Herriman DO think they live in the country and ignore local laws.

It's interesting for sure. I went to a City Council meeting once to see what it was all about. Recently at that point, there was an outcry over speeding vehicles on Emmiline Rd. up above Rosecrest Road. It was a 25mph road in which many a vehicle were zipping along at 50 or even 60mph. A few kids (of which there are tons) nearly were hit a number of times. Then low and behold some drunk teens came zipping along at break neck speeds and ended up on someone's lawn running over 2 of their kids. So this was brought up at the meeting.

Strangely enough, I was holding a conversation with the City Manager, and the father of the kids hit joined in. I happened to add the deal with the illegal ATV drivers driving all over the place tearing it up, streets and sidewalks alike. The guy whose kids were hit piped up and said, "well I"m one of those". Yeah I know it's illegal but I figure it isn't doing any harm" laughing. The City Manager nearly chuckled. Yeah, it's something in the water around here. Glad I use a double tank filtration system with reverse osmosis for drinking. I'm not interested in becoming as brain dead as the rest thanks. This is what I've been saying about a lot of Utahn's I run into. They don't know the meaning of the word "NO" and most assuradly are NOT teaching their brats the meaning either.
